EVN: Ready for major objectives in 2025
Ensuring power supply with projected commercial electricity output of 300.9 - 305.6 billion kWh; promoting construction investment; implementing thorough cost savings and waste prevention across all sectors, ensuring profitable business operations; completing the targets set in the EVN's Party Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term... These are some of the major objectives and tasks that EVN will strive to accomplish in 2025.
The Conference summarizing the Party’s works and professional activities in 2024 and implementing tasks for 2025 of Vietnam Electricity was held on the morning of January 6th, in Hanoi. The conference was connected online to EVN units' locations.
Continuing Important Responsibilities
Group, the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises and the Ministry of Industry and Trade all praised and commended the officers, employees, and entire workforce of the Group for their efforts in achieving outstanding achievements across many operational aspects in 2024, establishing a solid foundation for the Group to continue harvesting more successes in 2025.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Phong – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Committee of National-level State-owned Enterprises’ Group delivered the speech
Regarding the Party’s works in 2025, Comrade Nguyen Duc Phong – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Committee of National-level State-owned Enterprises’ Group emphasized that EVN's Party Committee needs to continue effectively implementing the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style; continuously improving the quality of political, ideological, and propaganda work to create unity and consensus within the organization. In particular, the EVN's Party Committee needs to focus on preparing and organizing party congresses at all levels well. The preparation and organization of congresses must comply with Party regulations. Implement synchronized and effective personnel work and build the cadre force in conjunction with preparing personnel for party committees at all levels.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Committee of National-level State-owned Enterprises’ Group also suggested continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection and supervision work; strengthening anti-corruption, waste, and negativity prevention efforts. EVN's Party Committee continues to comprehensively lead the Group's activities; ensuring successful implementation of assigned political tasks.

From the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises, Vice Chairman Ho Sy Hung requested that EVN continue to operate the power system stably, optimally, and efficiently. Continue to promote capabilities, streamline organizational structure, improve group governance effectiveness; perform well in investment, implement cost-saving solutions, prevent waste, ensure financial balance. Simultaneously, implement incentive mechanisms to achieve efficiency targets to create motivation for EVN units to promote business initiative. EVN and its units also need to continue implementing digital transformation effectively, improving corporate governance and operational efficiency.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade delivered the speech
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade expressed confidence that EVN will continue to fulfill its power supply assurance duties in the coming time. Emphasizing that the amended Electricity Law has been passed and will take effect from February 1st, 2025, the Deputy Minister believes this will create the most favorable conditions for efficient investment and implementation of power projects.
Also according to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, EVN needs to continue focusing intensely on construction investment work, ensuring progress and quality of power source and grid projects; implementing solutions to ensure electricity for the country's socio-economic development needs.
High determination, Specific solutions
Receiving guidance from senior leadership, Mr. Dang Hoang An - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of EVN's Board of Members respectfully thanked the leadership of the Committee of National-level State-owned Enterprises’ Group, the Commission for State Capital Management at Enterprises, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for their direction and encouragement.
Also according to the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of EVN's Board of Members, Vietnam Electricity will strive to complete its assigned tasks. In 2025, EVN's Party Committee will focus on completing the organization of party congresses at all levels and organizing the Group's Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Regarding power supply assurance, the Chairman of EVN's Board of Members stated that along with increasing supply sources and promoting construction investment, it is necessary to seriously implement energy savings and effectively manage electricity demand.

In 2025, the EVN's total investment capital plan is expected to reach 109,669 billion VND. EVN strives to complete the power generation of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion project (Q4/2025); commence construction of Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion and Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower projects; strive to connect Unit 1 of Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant to the grid before September 2nd, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister. EVN will also commence construction of 208 grid projects from 110-500kV and energize 281 grid projects from 110-500kV.
“These are challenging tasks, but EVN must perform well” – EVN's Chairman of the Board of Members emphasized.
Assigning tasks to member units, Mr. Dang Hoang An requested the entire Group to continue promoting and maintaining good technical-economic indicators achieving Top 3, Top 4 in Southeast Asia. Member units continue substantial digital transformation, starting right from process reform within the Group and strengthening decentralization and delegation to improve governance effectiveness; continue improving customer service quality. Particularly, promote waste prevention in all operational aspects, implement thorough savings, ensure financial balance. Ensure employment and workers' livelihoods; implement solutions to improve labor productivity; ensure sustainable development.
EVN strives to achieve the highest results in tasks and targets of the 5-year Plan 2021-2025 assigned by the Prime Minister and the targets of EVN's Party Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term.

Representing EVNPECC4, Mr. Le Cao Quyen - Chairman of the Board was honored to receive EVN's Certificate of Merit from Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - EVN's President and CEO.
