Despite the busy year-end schedule and numerous ongoing projects, employees of EVNPECC4 (Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4) actively participated in the 10th annual EVN Pink Week blood donation campaign, demonstrating their commitment to the community.

On the morning of December 25th 2024, EVNPECC4, in collaboration with the company's labor union, youth union, and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Blood Donation Movement Steering Committee, the Khanh Hoa Red Cross Society, and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Blood Transfusion Center, organized a blood donation event at the headquarters - 11 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Nha Trang.

The Pink Week campaign is an annual event organized by EVN in December, with this year marking the 10th consecutive year of its implementation. December is typically a time when blood supplies are low, making these campaigns especially important. Moreover, the event aligns with EVN's "Customer Appreciation Month" in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Vietnamese power industry (21/12/1954 - 21/12/2024).

This year's campaign theme, "Responsibility - Solidarity," underscores EVN's commitment to customers, partners, the community, and the nation's future. On the morning of December 25, EVNPECC4 employees enthusiastically registered to donate blood.

A total of 82 units of blood were collected from EVNPECC4 employees, and an additional 11 units were donated by employees of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 - Central Branch. These blood donations will be used to replenish blood banks in Khanh Hoa province and neighboring areas.

Ms. Dinh Thi Lieu, an engineer at the Hydropower and Renewable Energy Engineering Center, shared her experience of donating blood eight times, stating, "I used to be quite afraid of donating blood, fearing needles and the sight of blood. Being petite, I always thought I didn't have enough blood to donate. However, when a friend of mine was involved in a traffic accident and urgently needed blood transfusions, I realized the importance of blood donation. I started researching the benefits and drawbacks of donating blood and learned that it not only helps others but also has positive effects on one's own health. Therefore, I bravely registered to donate blood. After my first donation, I noticed no negative impact on my health. In fact, I sometimes felt better sleep, improved appetite, and most importantly, a sense of joy for contributing to society and the community."

EVNPECC4 has consistently organized annual blood donation campaigns as part of EVN's Pink Week, contributing nearly 600 units of blood to hospitals in Khanh Hoa province and surrounding areas since 2018.

Mr. Vo Song Khanh, Deputy Head of the Blood Transfusion Department at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Blood Transfusion Center, acknowledged, "Today, the blood donation campaign at EVNPECC4 proceeded very smoothly. I would like to thank the organizing committee for arranging the necessary tables, chairs, and equipment to ensure the success of the campaign. I also want to express my gratitude to all EVNPECC4 employees for their enthusiastic, cheerful, and early participation, contributing significantly to the nationwide blood donation movement."

On the morning of December 25th, EVNPECC4 employees contributed 82 units of blood, promptly transferring them to hospitals in Khanh Hoa province and neighboring areas to serve medical treatment and save lives.

Continuing the nation's tradition of charity, through this program, EVNPECC4 is proud to join other units in the Electricity industry in spreading the message of "Responsibility - Solidarity", sharing care, contributing practical "drops of red blood" to hospitals across the country to promptly support patients with the opportunity to live or prolong their lives. Thereby, EVNPECC4's employees continue to uphold the tradition of humanitarianism and demonstrates its commitment to building a civilized, beautiful and compassionate society.
