EVNPECC4 consults on the design of the first waste-to-energy plant in Khanh Hoa Province
Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is a famous tourist city in Vietnam and one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world. Therefore, ensuring a green and clean environment is always the goal of the local government and residents, including the treatment of household waste. In particular, waste-to-energy solution not only quickly treats waste but also supplies electricity for local consumption.

EVNPECC4 has researched and adopted advanced waste-to-energy technologies worldwide that are suitable for the waste characteristics in Vietnam, such as high moisture content and various impurities. EVNPECC4 was also responsible for preparation of the National Waste-to-Energy Development Plan and has conducted studies and investment proposal for several waste-to-energy projects in the Central Region.
EVNPECC4 engineers are surveying the location of Khanh Hoa waste-to-energy plant
In Khanh Hoa province, EVNPECC4 is currently preparing a feasibility study report for a 32MW waste-to-energy plant, expected to be operated by the end of 2025. This will be the first waste-to-energy project in Khanh Hoa. The plant will solve overload issue of landfills in Nha Trang and Cam Lam district area, while also provide the electricity supply for Khanh Hoa province.
The development of waste-to-energy requires not only infrastructure investment and modern technology but also the cooperation of the local government and the community in order for the project's success. Investing in waste-to-energy plants will effectively solve the environmental issues and promote the development of green and circular economy, which in line with the sustainable development direction stated in the Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Plan, Nha Trang City Plan, and National Power Development Plan.
