EVNPECC4 contributed presentations and research papers at EEE-AM 2023 International Scientific Conference
Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4) recently had the honor of presenting solutions to issues caused by the integration of renewable energy sources into the power system at the 2023 Asia Meeting on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEE-AM 2023), held in Hanoi from 13th to 15th November 2023.
The 2023 Asia Meeting on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEE-AM 2023) was co-organized by the Electric Power University in coordination with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in Vietnam and the IEEE Industrial Application Society (IEEE IAS) at the National Convention Center in My Dinh.
The conference is an international forum for meeting, exchanging experiences and presenting scientific research topics on energy systems from delegates who are scientists, university lecturers, guests from universities, research institutes, agencies and organizations in the energy sector and international organizations in Vietnam…
EVNPECC4 is proud to participate in the EEE-AM 2023 International Scientific Conference with a presentation on "Stability issues and solutions in term of the increasement of renewable energy sources integration in the power system" and a research paper "New method for secondary frequency regulation by battery energy storage system on Vietnam power system”.
In the presentation "Stability issues and solutions in term of the increasement of renewable energy sources integration in the power system”, the speaker Le Hoai Nam - Deputy Director of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Engineering Center of EVNPECC4 highlighted serious problems caused by the massive integration of renewable energy sources that affected system stability, causing negative impacts on the power systems of some countries. Thereby, Mr. Le Hoai Nam proposed solutions to improve system stability, as well as applying those solutions to Vietnam's power system, demonstrating the appropriateness and effectiveness of the solutions.

Meanwhile, in the sharing section of the research paper "New method for secondary frequency regulation by battery energy storage system on Vietnam power system", the author Tran Viet Thanh - Manager of Research and Technology Application Division, Research and Development Center of EVNPECC4 presented the role and function of the BESS system in secondary frequency regulation and highlighted its extremely important role in maintaining system frequency within permissible thresholds. For a visual perspective, the author modeled the BESS system using DigSILENT software and applied it to the model of 500kV/220kV power grid in the Central Highlands region in 2025, from which numerical results and visual diagrams were obtained, demonstrating the effectiveness of the solution.

At the conclusion of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chau - Acting Principal of the Electric Power University, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, sincerely thanked the scientists from countries around the world, lecturers, delegates, engineers... for bringing to the conference over 150 high-quality scientific papers. In addition, the sharing from speakers and guests on research topics in the energy sector at the conference will contribute to building greener and safer energy system not only in Vietnam but also globally.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chau also hoped that the endless development of mankind will always be accompanied sustainably by the application of “green” technology, which is also the responsibility and wish of the scientists at the Conference to build a greener planet.
