Norway is a resourceful country and a leader in the development of many clean energy technologies. With limited natural resources, Norway needs to ensure these resources are used appropriately and managed sustainably. Many Norwegian companies are leading with innovative initiatives to decarbonize industries and promote efficient energy use, including solutions for liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen, as well as carbon capture, utilization and storage.
At the seminar, representatives from the Oil, Gas and Coal Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade presented on Vietnam's energy transition in the national power development plan. The presentation received great interest from delegates, especially representatives of Norwegian companies.
Representatives from the Norwegian Energy Partners and related companies also gave presentations on energy transition and lessons from Norway; LNG and transportation technologies; Floating import terminal solutions, Jettyless technology; Hydrogen and CCUS strategies and experiences from Norway; Appropriate CO2 capture and regulation technologies for CO2 impurity levels; information sharing on energy trends in Southeast Asia...
This seminar was attended by 15 Norwegian companies. Apart from some companies that have operated in Vietnam for many years such as Equinor, Mainstream, VARD and Scatec, the rest are looking to meet and discuss cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese companies.
The seminar serves as a platform for stakeholders in the energy sector to update on Vietnam's energy transition roadmap according to the National Power Development Plan VIII approved by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. It is also an opportunity for Norwegian energy companies to share their expertise and competitive advantages, especially in technologies, across areas like offshore wind, clean hydrogen, carbon capture and storage as well as LNG.
In particular, EVNPECC4 and other Vietnamese companies participating in the event were given opportunities to network one-on-one with representatives from the top 15 Norwegian companies in the seminar's topic areas.
Participating in the Energy Transition: Norway-Vietnam Business Partnership seminar this time helped EVNPECC4 approach leading Norwegian partners in the field of renewable energy, thereby contributing to providing the best, most diverse consulting products that meet all requirements of Customers and Partners.
