EVNPECC4 participated in the workshop "Design - Operate - Automate Power Systems for sustainable energy transition"

On August 8, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4) participated in the workshop "Design - Operate – Automate Power Systems for sustainable energy transition" organized by East Sea Energy Environment Co., Ltd (ESEC).

The workshop attracted over 150 customers and partners who are key personnel, leading experts in Power Dispatch/Generation/Transmission/Distribution, Oil & Gas - Chemicals, Industrial Manufacturing, Infrastructure and consulting firms...

At this workshop, Mr. Huynh Kim Long - Power system calculation engineer, Research and Development Center of EVNPECC4, shared a presentation, "Determination of battery energy storage system sizing for hybrid power system on Phu Quy Island, Binh Thuan Province, Viet Nam."

EVNPECC4's presentation clarified that Phu Quy island is currently supplied electricity from the Phu Quy diesel power plant with a capacity of 10MW, the Phu Quy wind farm with a capacity of 6MW and the Phu Quy solar power plant with a capacity of 0.8MW. The expected load demand will reach 8.4MW by 2025 and 14.9MW by 2030. To meet the load demand until 2025, Phu Quy Island plans to install two additional 10MW wind turbines and upgrade the capacity of the Phu Quy solar power plant from 0.8MW to 2MW. However, renewable energy sources mainly depend on weather conditions like sunlight and wind speed, so Phu Quy Diesel Power Plant remains the primary power source for Phu Quy Island.

Engineer Huynh Kim Long, EVNPECC4 commented: "To meet the load demand of Phu Quy island as well as optimize the use of renewable energy sources in the future, the report proposes studying selection of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity to support Phu Quy island's hybrid power system in storing renewable energy and reducing output capacity from Phu Quy Diesel Power Plant."

At the workshop, delegates were introduced to and explored the latest trends in the Design, Operation and Automation of Power Systems with ETAP solutions for sustainable energy transition... Engineer Huynh Kim Long was honored to represent EVNPECC4 in introducing successful renewable energy development projects in Vietnam to experts and delegates.

Therefore, the Workshop "Design - Operate - Automate Power Systems for sustainable energy transition" has received many questions and attention from delegates and experts on how to provide a safe, reliable and efficient power system.

Through participating and sharing presentations at international scientific conferences in 2023, the team of engineers from EVNPECC4 's Research and Development Center had opportunities to meet, exchange and share experiences with leading experts, researchers and electrical engineering community worldwide. Thereby, EVNPECC4 opens up many partnerships and absorbs innovative opinions to catch up with global development trends amid the 4th industrial revolution.

Gia Lai Approved Investment Policy for the Se San 3 Hydropower Plant Expansion

The Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee has recently approved the investment policy and concurrently approved Vietnam Electricity (EVN) as the investor for the Se San 3 Hydropower Plant Expansion Project. The project will be implemented in Ia Ly Commune, Gia Lai Province, and Ya Ly Commune, Quang Ngai Province.

Gia Lai approves investment policy for Sesan 4 Hydropower Plant Expansion Project

The Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 3625/QD-UBND dated August 23, 2026, approving the investment policy and simultaneously approving Vietnam Electricity (EVN) as the investor of the Sesan 4 Hydropower Plant Expansion Project. The project has a design capacity of 120MW and a total investment of nearly VND 3 trillion.

The Meeting was attended and directed by representatives of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), including Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Ha - EVN’s Board Member; Mr. Tran Vinh Thai - Deputy Head of Corporate Planning Department; and Ms. Pham Huong Giang - Officer of Corporate Planning Department, together with 46 PECC4 shareholders, representing 14,850,719 shares, equivalent to 75.07% of the Company’s total voting shares.

EVNPECC4 participated in Football Tournament to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam (19/8/1945 - 19/8/2026)

On the afternoon of August 18th 2026, at My Anh Football Field in Nha Trang Ward, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4) participated in a football tournament commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam (19/8/1945 - 19/8/2026). The tournament was organized by the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Division of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police.
