Green Transition for Economic Prosperity: Future on the East-West Corridor at the Central Region of Viet Nam
The Central Region is currently an area of dynamic economic and commercial development thanks to favorable geographical conditions and energy supply. In order to strongly promote energy transition according to the general strategy of the country, many seminars and trainings have been held in this area.
For that purpose, on November 8, 2023, in Hue City, the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam), Thua Thien Hue People’s Committee, the Power and Energy Working Group under the Vietnam Business Forum (PEWG), and the Institute for International Education (IIE) co-organized the Conference with the topic "Green Transition for Economic Prosperity: Future on the East-West Corridor at the Central Region of Viet Nam”.
The contents presented at the Conference aim to: raise local government awareness of necessary conditions (regulations, standards, finance) when the private sector invests in clean and green energy projects; promote dialogue between stakeholders (government, business, academia) to support climate change adaptation and local energy transition initiatives; present research and mechanisms towards the net - zero emissions target.
At the Conference, many local & international experts and local leaders gave their opinions to realize the above goals. Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4) also contributed with a presentation on the topic Energy Transition Orientation of the Central Region in the context of the East-West corridor development.
With many available advantages, along with the positivity of localities and relevant agencies, Thua Thien Hue Province and the Central Region will achieve the National Goal of Energy Transition and sustainable economic development.
