Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 accomplished the Business and Production Tasks in 2018

In 2018, the Company organized and implemented a large volume of Power Source and Power Grid projects in various stages, including some important and urgent projects, contributing to improving investment efficiency in constructing projects for Vietnam Electricity.

Regarding the Power Grid:

• The Company completed the survey and engineering work for the 500kV Quang Trach - Doc Soi Transmission Line, the 220kV Hoa Khanh - Hai Chau Transmission Line, and Hai Chau GIS Substation...
• In addition, during the year, the Company completed over 10 feasibility study reports and 10 technical design reports for Transmission Lines and Substations up to 500kV; implemented detailed design for multiple Power Grid projects to meet the construction schedule requirements of the investors.
• Furthermore, the Company also focused on researching connection plans for clusters of power plants in Laos to export electricity to Vietnam, studying solutions for capacity release for solar power plants in Ninh Thuan province and the necessary investment in synchronized power grid projects, serving as a basis for proposing practical investment projects to EVN/NPT (Vietnam Electricity/National Power Transmission Corporation).

Regarding Renewable Energy:

• The company completed 4 supplementary planning reports for Solar Power Plants, over 10 feasibility study projects, and 5 reports in the Technical Design/Detailed Design, including 3 ongoing projects expected to be energized before June 2019. Notably, the Solar Power project on Da Mi hydropower lake, with a capacity of 47.5 MWp, is the largest solar power project on a lake in Vietnam. Power Engineering Consulting JSC 4 is the pioneering unit in implementing the Solar Power project on the hydropower lake.
• In the Wind Power sector, the company completed the Technical Design/Detailed Design for the Trung Nam Wind Power Project Phase 1, which has been put into safe operation.

Regarding Hydropower:

• The company completed the survey and Technical Design/Detailed Design for the Nam Pan 5 Hydropower Plant, prepared the Feasibility Study Report for the Song Nhiem 3 Hydropower Plant, handled the landslide issue at the Trung Son Hydropower Plant, supervised the construction progress of the Song Cho 2 and Son Giang Hydropower Plants.

In terms of Thermal Power and Operation & Maintenance services:

• The Company collaborated with foreign partners to implement and complete reliability and performance enhancement solutions for the Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant.
• The Company conducted trial services for coal jam prevention solutions in the fuel bunkers of the Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant.

Project Supervision, and Management:

• The Company continued to manage the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract for the expansion of the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant; implemented Supervision Consultancy services for Solar Power projects and Supervision Consultancy for the construction of Power Grid projects: 500kV My Tho - Duc Hoa Transmission Line, 500kV West Hanoi Substation, 500kV Viet Tri Substation, 500kV interconnection of Nghi Son 2 Power Plant to the National Power Grid, and the replacement of the second lightning protection line on the 500kV Northern-Southern Transmission Line Circuit 1...
• In the Project Management Consultancy field: Implemented the installation of the 2nd Transformer at the 220kV Substation - Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant; the project to convert the extra fuel from HFO to DO of the Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant.

With the achieved results in business and production activities, at the Vietnam Electricity 's annual summary ceremony 2018, the company was one of the 11 units awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag for their outstanding performance.
