Prime Minister commended units for overcoming difficulties, striving to construct the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, highly appreciated, and warmly commended the agencies, enterprises, workers, and the united spirit of the people with the highest determination to overcome all difficulties, mobilize all resources to focus on constructing the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just sent a letter to the Secretaries of Provincial Party Committees, Chairman of Provincial People's Committees of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, and Hung Yen provinces; the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; the Chairman and CEO of the Vietnam Electricity (EVN), the National Power Transmission Corporation; the Chairman and CEO of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group and Viettel Group.

In the letter, the Prime Minister wrote: To contribute to enhancing the transmission capacity of the national power system, ensuring stable electricity supply for production, business, and people's consumption during the peak months of 2024 and subsequent years, from late 2023 until now, the Government and the Prime Minister have decided to focus investment and resolutely direct the acceleration of construction progress for the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen), striving to ensure completion before June 30^th, 2024.

Implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the ministries, sectors, local party committees, and authorities have taken drastic actions; the Vietnam Electricity and the National Power Transmission Corporation have highly concentrated efforts, together with relevant corporations, companies, especially the efforts of construction contractors, consulting units, with nearly 15,000 cadres, engineers, workers, and laborers at construction sites, working "3 shifts, 4 teams", "working through holidays, days off, and Tet holidays", "overcoming heat, conquering rain", " eat up to sleep quickly ", "only discussing work, not delays", and the support, solidarity, and active response of the people in the areas where the project passes through. To date, a large workload has been completed: nearly 100% of site clearance has been finished; 100% of pile foundations have been cast; 913 towers (77%) have been erected or are being erected.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated, and warmly commended the proactive spirit, determination, and resoluteness to complete the assigned tasks of the party committees, authorities of the localities where the transmission line project passes through, especially the resolute, direct, and close direction of the Provincial Party Secretaries and Chairman of Provincial People's Committees; commended the Vietnam Electricity, the National Power Transmission Corporation, the Northern, Southern, Central, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporations, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group, the Viettel Group for their efforts, creativity, and highest determination in mobilizing all resources to focus on construction to complete the project; commended the construction contractors, consulting units, material suppliers, and nearly 15,000 cadres, engineers, workers, and laborers who have overcome all difficulties and strived to construct the project; commended the sense of responsibility, support, and solidarity of the people who have given up their residences, production areas, cultivation land for the project; commended the pioneering spirit, volunteerism, responsibility, and creativity of labor union members and youth union members in participating in building and developing the country with the spirit of "wherever needed, the youth are present, wherever there are difficulties, the youth are present."

Implementing the beloved Uncle Ho's teaching, "The country needs electricity like the body needs blood," all of us, especially those directly participating in the construction of the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line, are honored and proud to contribute our efforts to build and add this important "bloodline" to meet the requirements of industrialization, modernization, rapid and sustainable development of the country for the happiness of the people, in line with the spirit of the 13^th Party Congress Resolution.

In the coming time, although there is still a large workload to be completed, the required progress is very urgent, the terrain and weather conditions present many difficulties and complexities, with the unity and joint efforts of the entire political system, local party committees, authorities, and the active support and participation of the people in the project areas, we are confident that the Vietnam Electricity, the National Power Transmission Corporation, construction contractors, consulting units, agencies, and units participating in the project construction, as well as the cadres, engineers, workers, and laborers at the construction sites, will continue to promote the glorious traditions of the industry; consider this both a duty and an honor; highly concentrate on construction with the highest determination and greatest efforts, continue to overcome all difficulties and challenges to ensure that the 500 kV circuit 3 transmission line project will be completed with quality by the deadline of June 30^th, 2024.
