Promoting soft skill training: "Building a professional working style"
Communication skills are probably the most frequently used skills in work as well as in daily life. Especially in the business environment, the good communication of each employee not only contributes to increasing work efficiency, but also reflects a professional working style.
Short report writing is also a frequently used skill. Short reports from staff about specialized seminars, business trips, etc. can help the Leader quickly grasp the problem to make reasonable decisions, thereby to support the management fluently.
Seeing the importance of the above skills, on July 7, 2022, the Thermal Power & New Energy Engineering Center (P6 Center) organized a workshop to guide all the Center's employees, with 3 main skills: 1) Using e-mail, 2) Using Zalo, 3) Writing short reports. These are the 3 basic means used daily at the Center that most employees already knew, but the application has not been synchronized, leading to affect work efficiency.
The training material is compiled by the Center’s Manager. The contents are collated from seminars and experiences of Director/ Managers of the Center with universal knowledges. In addition, during the presentation by the Director of the Center, the staff participated in discussions to contribute ideas, in order to complete and agree on the general rules to be applied to the whole Center.
In the context of globalization as well as the strong development of Industry 4.0, although there are many supporting tools like today, communication and writing short report skills will always be the basic skills to improve working performance, and at the same time build a professional working style for employees, especially for consulting engineers.
