Seraphin Waste-to-Energy Plant officially begins waste processing operations
The Seraphin Waste-to-Energy Plant with a capacity of 2,250 tons/day located at Xuan Son Waste Treatment Complex, Son Tay Town, Hanoi City has officially commenced waste processing operations from May 1st, 2025.
The reception and processing of the first tons of waste marks an important starting point for the trial operation and calibration cycle, signifying the transition phase from construction to operation, advancing toward bringing the plant into official commercial operation.

The plant has a power generation capacity of 37MW, utilizing modern German Martin incineration technology, incorporating comprehensive green technology elements, high technology, digital technology and complete automation. The emission indicators for exhaust gas, wastewater and waste residues after treatment meet European standards, ensuring safety for the environment and community.
All input waste is processed and converted into clean electricity along with recycled by-products, contributing effectively to serve the economic and social development needs.

When operating stably, the plant contributes to solving urban solid waste problems and environmental pollution in Hanoi Capital.

Location: Xuan Son Waste Treatment Complex (Son Tay Town, Hanoi City).
Rated waste reception capacity: 2,250 tons day/night.
Power generation capacity: 37MW, utilizing modern German Martin incineration technology, integrating comprehensive green technology elements, high technology, digital technology and complete automation.
The plant owns 3 modern incineration units operating with automation and energy optimization. After being processed through advanced systems, the output exhaust gas is completely transparent, odorless, non-toxic, meeting European standards. The generated electricity is partially used for the plant's operational activities, with the remainder fed into the national power grid, contributing to the supply of clean and renewable energy.
Scope of work of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4): implementing the consulting package for preparing the adjusted Feasibility Study (FS) Report, adjusted Environmental Impact Assessment Report, Technical Design and Detailed Design.
