Solar electricity prices may be counted by the regions

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade (MoIT) Do Thang Hai informed: "The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just reported to the Government that our country with a shape of S letter spreading more than 1.6 thousand kilometers, so it is not suitable if solar electricity set by one price only but applied by the regions with different solar radiations”.

At the present, the government set up one solar electricity price of 9.35 UScent per kWh for all types of projects and all locations but this price was expired by June 30, 2019.

The MoIT is directing EVN, relevant agencies under ministry in cooperation with the experts, scientists and local authorities to establish an overall scenario of the solar electricity prices for different regions and different types (on ground, water surface, and rooftop) of the projects. This overall scenario will be reported to the government for getting the official direction at September 15, 2019.

At 20:22 on April 29th 2026, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), in coordination with the Power Transmission Project Management Board (NPTPMB) and the National Power System and Market Operation Co., Ltd. (NSMO), successfully energized the project to upgrade the capacity of the 500kV Hoa Binh Substation, increasing its capacity from 1,350MVA to 1,800MVA.

EVNNPT Labor Union Supports Construction Site, Accelerates Completion of the 500kV Hoa Binh Substation Capacity Upgrade Project on Schedule

On April 9th 2026, in Phu Tho, the Labor Union of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) visited and encouraged employees of the Power Transmission Project Management Board (NPTPMB), along with contractors working on the 500kV Hoa Binh Substation Capacity Upgrade Project—one of EVNNPT’s key and urgent power transmission projects.

Investment of VND 3,000 billion to develop a waste-to-energy plant in Khanh Son

On the morning of March 19th, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), in coordination with Vietnam Environment Joint Stock Company (a member of the Amaccao Group), held a signing ceremony for a credit agreement and an insurance contract to implement the Khanh Son waste-to-energy plant project (Hoa Khanh Ward, Da Nang City).
