The energization and commissioning of 220kV Van Phong substation which is engineered by EVNPECC4
The 220kV Van Phong substation project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), with CPMB managing the project on behalf of EVNNPT. Power Transmission Company 3 is responsible for operation and management, EVNPECC4 handles the design, Electricity Joint Stock Company provides supervision consulting, Power Transmission Technical Service Company conducts testing and calibration, and Alphanam E&C is responsible for construction.
The AT1 220kV Van Phong transformer
The project includes:
- Construction of a new 220kV substation: Van Phong 220kV substation, an outdoor type with a capacity of a 220kV transformer - 250MVA, four 220kV outgoing feeder bays, one 220kV busbar bay, one 220kV interlocking bay, six 110kV outgoing feeder bays, one 110kV busbar bay, one 110kV interlocking bay, one 110kV loop breaker bay, and one 22kV feeder bay.
- Construction of new transmission lines: two 220kV double-circuit transmission lines, approximately 265m in length, connecting the existing 220kV Tuy Hoa - Nha Trang transmission line, and construction of a single-circuit 22kV transmission line, 889.5m in length, to provide power for the substation's usage.
The commissioning of the 220kV Van Phong substation will enhance reliability and ensure power supply for the growing loads in Ninh Hoa town and a part of the Van Phong economic zone, meeting the socio-economic development needs of Khanh Hoa province. Additionally, it will facilitate the connection of renewable energy sources in the area to the national power grid.
