The Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 Labor Union successfully organized the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2023 - 2028

On May 10, 2023, at the hall of Quinter Central Hotel Nha Trang, The Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 Labor Union (EVNPECC4) successfully organized the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2023 - 2028.

The Congress was honored to have Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of Executive Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers to attend and direct the Congress, together with the Leaders of the Organization, Finance Committees and the Office of Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers. The Congress was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Manh Thong, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company Trade Union and Mr. Le Hong Duat, Chairman of Power Transmission Company No3 Trade Union.

Representative of EVNPECC4’s Standing Party Committee, Mr. Le Cao Quyen – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board; Mr. Vu Thanh Danh - Member of the Board, General Director, together with Members of the Board, Executives Board and 114 delegates representing 439 members of EVNPECC4’s Labor Union attended the Congress.

The Congress elected the Presidium including Mr. Tran Cao Hy - Chairman of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VII and Mr. Ngo Anh Danh - Vice Chairman of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VII. The Secretariat included Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa - Member of Executive Committee of Labor Union, term VII and Mr. Nguyen Tan Khoa - Member of Executive Committee of Labor Union, term VII.

At the Congress, the Presidium respectively had the Report of Executive Committee of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VII, period 2017 - 2023; objectives and tasks of term VIII, period 2023 - 2028; Report on reviewing activities of Executive Committee of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VII, period 2017 – 2023 approved.

On behalf of the Presidium, Mr. Tran Cao Hy - Chairman of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VII, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Deputy Director of EVNPECC4 stated: “More than 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 7th Congress of Delegates of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 Labor Union, term 2017 - 2023, the Company's Labor Union has achieved certain results: employees have stable job security, enhanced material and spiritual life; labor union’s activities have many positive innovations, contributing to the completion of the Company's annual business and production targets.”

The 2017 - 2023 term, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, but under the direction of Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers, the Company's Party Committee, the coordination and facilitation of the Executives Board and all the efforts of union members, the Company's Union has successfully implemented the Resolution of the last Congress. Innovative movements in production and business activities; especially the Program of 1 million initiatives launched by the Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was responded by a huge number of union members; The labor union has promptly taken care of and supported the material and spiritual life of union members and employees...

Regarding the objectives and tasks of  term VIII, period of 2023 - 2028, the Company's Labor Union focuses on taking care of union members and employees’ lives, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees; actively participating in social security activities; improving the effectiveness of propagandizing and advocating union members and employees to comply with the laws, regulations of Vietnam Electricity; promoting and improving the efficiency of the emulation movements which contributes to the successful implementation of production and business targets and other tasks of the Company...

The Congress also listened to the presentations of Labor Union of production centers with the topic: "Labor Union with the emulation movement of Production and Innovation & Improvement"; Labor union of general survey enterprise with the topic "The role of the union in occupational safety & health and the life of workers at the construction site". In addition, the presentation of the Company's Youth Union on the topic: "Labor Union with the care of children's education and social work" was also presented in the Congress’s materials.

On behalf of Party Standing Committee, the Company's executives, Mr. Le Cao Quyen – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board EVNPECC4 highly appreciated the progress of the Labor Union's activities for the term VII. Labor unions at all levels have had good performances, always paid attention to innovating forms and methods for propaganda and education; focused on promoting propaganda and grasping the situation. Labor unions at all levels have successfully performed their roles of advising the Party committee, coordinating with the Company's executives to guide and direct the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulation.

Mr. Le Cao Quyen – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of the Board EVNPECC4 believes: “With the efforts and determination of the Labor Unions at all levels and the staffs & employees in the Company, the Company will organize to achieve and exceed the targets and tasks set out in the next term, together with Party Committee and expertise to successfully implement the security - political - social goals, the annual production and business targets of the Company."

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of Executive Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of Vietnam National Union of Electric Power Workers recognized and praised the achievements of EVNPECC4 Labor Union during the term. Although the term VII was very difficult, especially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, EVNPECC4 Labor Union still completed its production and business tasks, took good care of union members and employees’ lives, and ensured a stable income for union members and employees.

Mr. Do Duc Hung also directed EVNPECC4 Labor Union to overcome the shortcomings and limitations in the last term. It is necessary for the new Labor Union Executive Committee to continue to work together, to make efforts in order to propose innovative solutions, to effectively apply scientific and technological achievements so as to help the Company overcome the common difficulties and challenges of Vietnam Electricity, the general economic and political situation of the country, and strive to ensure good livelihoods for the union members and employees, to successfully implement the resolution of the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2023 – 2028.

Delegates attending the meeting also discussed and voted on the number, structure, candidacy, nomination and approval of a list of personnel introductions in order to elect 9 delegates to the Executive Committee of the Company's Labor Union, term VIII, period 2023 - 2028; elected 3 delegates to attend the superior labor union congress; passed the draft resolution of the Congress. As a result, the Executive Committee of the Company's Labor Union, term VIII, consisting of 9 members, was officially introduced in the Congress. In which, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dong - Director of the Business Department is the Chairman of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VIII.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Dong - Chairman of EVNPECC4 Labor Union, term VIII, representing the Executive Committee of Labor Union for the period of 2023 - 2028 said and committed that: “We would like to thank the congress for the trust and confidence. This is really a great honor, but also full of responsibility for the operation of the Company's Labor Union, which requires each member of the Executive Committee to strive and train to complete the tasks assigned by the Congress. We will always promote the spirit of solidarity, unanimity and responsibility to overcome difficulties, complete the assigned tasks and also hope that all employees and union members of the Company join hands to build a strong union contributing to the Company's excellent completion of political tasks, responding to the trust of the superior Labor Union, the Company's Party Committee, and the Company's Labor Union members."
