Training on AI applications: Innovation and Improving communication effectiveness at EVN
On May 15th 2025, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) organized a Communication Training Conference with the theme "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Communication Work". The program was held in-person at EVN headquarters and connected online to 25 sites of EVN's affiliated corporations and units.
The conference was attended by Mr. Vo Quang Lam – EVN’s Vice President.
Representing the organizing committee were Mr. Trinh Mai Phuong - Head of EVN Communication Department, and Ms. Dinh Thi Bao Ngoc - Director of the Electric Information Center.

The program was conducted in 1 day, with teaching and guidance from Master Vu The Cuong, lecturer at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, and part-time lecturer at the Center for Journalism Professional Training - Vietnam Journalists Association.
The training program aimed to enhance professional capacity and artificial intelligence (AI) application capabilities for EVN's communication staff. Participants were trained in critical thinking and skills for purposeful AI use, exploring both opportunities and challenges when using AI tools. The program also emphasized principles for responsible AI tool usage, avoiding the creation of misinformation and protecting user privacy.
In concluding remarks at the Training Conference, Mr. Trinh Mai Phuong - Head of EVN Communication Department noted that artificial intelligence is creating powerful changes in the field of communication, opening many opportunities to innovate methods and improve work efficiency. However, humans still maintain the central, decisive role; AI can only be effective when used properly, to support improving labor productivity and quality for communication activities and products.

The Head of EVN Communication Department also required EVN's communication officers and specialists to actively absorb useful knowledge from the course and quickly apply it to specific work appropriate to their units, contributing to promoting the overall effectiveness of communication activities throughout EVN.
Through the training program, communication officers at EVN not only gained access to the latest technology trends but also strengthened their creative thinking, skills in using and mastering new technologies and tools; thereby gradually professionalizing communication work in the new situation, in line with EVN's digital transformation strategy until 2025 and orientation to 2030.
