ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING CAPABILITY

SCOPE OF WORKS

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL CONSULTING SERVICES

- Consulting to prepare TOR of impacts on livelihood and living activities due to land acquisition and resettlement; impacts on terrestrial biodiversity, aquatic creatures, air environment, water environment, etc. during the project operation and construction.

- Survey and assessment of current environmental situation. Consulting to prepare specialized reports on the natural environment (water, air, terrestrial biodiversity, aquatic organisms, ecology, etc.), and social environment (resettlement, livelihood rehabilitation, social safeguard, gender policy, public consultation, etc.).  

- Consulting to prepare reports on environmental impact assessment (EIA) for a wide range of projects in industry, agriculture, and planning at the national scale (both home and abroad) submitted to the government authorities at ministerial and provincial levels. More than 20 EIA reports are approved by the Vietnamese MONRE.  

- Consulting to prepare reports on environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA, EMP, EMDP, RP, RLDP, etc.) for loan purposes from international organizations such as WB, ADB, JICA, JBIC, IFC, KfW, AFD, etc.

- Consulting to prepare reports on compensation, assistance and resettlement; survey and prepare maps on soil, adaptive category, rural agricultural planning, etc. 

- Consulting to Review social and environmental reports.

METEO-HYDROLOGICAL CONSULTING SERVICES

- Consulting to survey and calculate meteo-hydrological conditions for the projects of hydropower, thermal power, transmission line, substation, irrigation, traffic, etc. in phases from planning to detailed drawings for many from small to special large levels.

- Consulting to observe and calculate solar energy, wind energy for planning and preparing FS for solar and wind projects.

- Consulting to review reports on meteo-hydrology.

HUMAN RESOURCES

All experts have degrees of Eng., BSc., MSc. with 7-20 years of experience in meteo-hydrological calculation and survey and environmental consultation with many major sectors like environmental management, environmental technology, environmental technique, environment-hydrology, meteo-hydro-oceanology, environmental physics, forest, resettlement, social and environmental impact assessment, natural resources protection-management and use, ecology-landscape, etc.

EQUIPMENT

Besides the experienced experts, the Environmental Consulting Centre has been equipped sufficient equipment and machines for a hydrological survey and wind observation. The Company has also equipped one laboratory with a national standard.

CALCULATION TECHNOLOGY AND MAPPING SOFTWARE

-  Using models to calculate, predict pollutant diffusion into the atmosphere, heat spread, risk assessment of oil spill, etc.

- Using software like WASP, Windographer to calculate wind energy potential.

- Using Tank and Nam models to calculate flow in the basin.

- Using software like Mike 11, HEC - RAS in hydrology.

- Using HEC- HMS software to calculate in the basin.

- Using software like HEC 6, and HEC- RAS to calculate sedimentation into a reservoir.

- Using AERMOD software to assess pollution and pollutant emission into the air environment.

- Using software such as Mapinfor, Autocad, Micro, ArcGIS to make specialized maps.

EXPERIENCE

Our consulting services are applied in a highly efficient way in preparing environmental, social and hydro-meteorological reports for a lot of projects, including 20 hydropower projects, several thermal power projects, wind projects, and over 40 transmission line projects (both overhead and underground), almost 20 substation projects.
