"EVNPECC4 needs to take the lead in consulting on new energy sources"
This is one of the directions from the leaders of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) during a working session with Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (EVNPECC4) held on October 16th in Khanh Hoa.

The working session with EVNPECC4 was attended by EVN's General Director, Tran Dinh Nhan, and Deputy General Director, Nguyen Tai Anh.
EVN's General Director Tran Dinh Nhan acknowledged PECC4's efforts in the first three quarters of 2020. Despite being heavily impacted by COVID-19, the company has fundamentally achieved the set targets, ensuring employment and income for its employees.

Currently, PDP 8 is being developed. In addition to EVN, many other units will be participating in investing and constructing power source and power grid projects. 'PECC4 needs to seize the opportunity to affirm its brand and quality, particularly pioneering in consulting on LNG power, offshore wind power, and other new energy sources,' instructed EVN's General Director Tran Dinh Nhan. Researching the development of one-way power transmission grid and connecting the transmission grid with neighboring countries is also among the areas set by EVN's General Director for PECC4.
The EVN leadership expects PECC4 to have the ambition to become a leading power consulting unit in Vietnam. EVN's General Director expressed confidence in the enthusiasm and determination of the company's Executive Board and its young and capable employees to realize EVN's aspirations soon.
Deputy General Director of EVN, Nguyen Tai Anh, also emphasized that PECC4 needs to enhance the application of scientific and technological advancements and digital transformation to conduct surveys and consult on power projects.
The report from EVNPECC4 showed that in the first nine months of 2020, the company achieved total revenue of nearly 160 billion VND (68.4% of the annual plan) and a post-tax profit of approximately 12.85 billion VND (69.4% of the annual plan).
Mr. Vu Thanh Danh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PECC4, stated that in the first three quarters of the year, the company had fulfilled several essential tasks assigned by EVN, such as conducting supplementary surveys to correct the technical design of the Bac Ai Pumped-Storage Hydropower Project (1,200 MW) and continuing to supervise to ensure timely resolution of design issues related to the 500kV Quang Trach - Doc Soi transmission line project. The company has also collaborated with PECC2 in the technical design of the 500kV Vung Ro - Vinh Tan 500kV transmission line project.
In addition, the company has coordinated with project management boards to complete and ensure the overall progress of projects serving power purchase from Laos, such as the 220kV Nam Mo - Tuong Duong transmission line, the 220kV Tuong Duong - Do Luong transmission line, and the Bo Y Switching Substation and Dak Ooc Switching Substation. The company has also completed the project to study solutions for suppressing resonance and increasing the transmission capacity of the Northern-Central-Southern power grid, as well as the project to optimize the capacitor bank capacity on the 500kV power system and analyze the low-frequency resonance impact on power plants when the circuit 3 is put into operation.
During the working session, the company's leadership also presented specific recommendations for EVN to consider to support the Company's stable and sustainable development.
